One of our favourite places

We just love to sit and relax on the harbour. You can have coffee, acholohol, good range of food and just chill. A lively, pretty harbour for all ages.

Padstow is one of our favourite places. Lots of fun had crabbing and even though it was still out of season we managed to catch a few - bacon is the trick. It was a windy day when we went so a lot of the boats had stayed in the harbour which was good for our boys to be able... More

Like all of cornwalls tourist areas it can be very busy. Variety of shops, with limited choice. Some chains, e.g.Joules, Seasalt, Boots. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops from The Seafood Restaurant, which is lovely but very expensive to Fish and Chips from a take away (Rick Steins contribution for those who cannot afford the restaurant)! An ice-cream, sitting watching... More

Small harbour- working boats. Lovely in summer, good local pubs selling local ale. Nothing out of ordinary.

Padstow is one of few places where You can see a nice tidy harbour with a variety of vessels to view. Watch out for the seagulls though as they will have Your much desired pasty or ice cream.

Loved strolling around for the weekend. Lots of quirky shops, galleries and ice cream. Bring a head, February was freezing.

we've been coming to Padstow well before Rick Stein put it on the map, and it's a place to visit at least once in your lifetime, but once you've been you will want to go back. Sit and watch the world passing by, you can see across the Camel Estuary, or browse round the shops, there are art shops, sweet... More

So a lot of people especially those earning large sums of cash from holidaymakers visiting Padstow or Steindom, are going to hate me for this, but here goes. Scruffy, dirty, overpriced and demeaning and that's just the harbour area. Padstow people live off the back of the Steindom empire and come the day he leaves Padstow will dissappear back into... Just a lovely little town with lovely shops, restaurants and pubs lovely view across the River Camel estuary. The harbour is lovely to walk round and watch the fishing boats. We try to come at least twice a year we love it here, it's so relaxing.

Padstow is is a charming fishing village - with good and inexpensive parking, a pretty harbour and plentiful shops and restaurants. This town is on its game when it comes to tourism. You could stay an hour or a few days!
