Enjoyed walking the coast path through Holkham beach. Beautiful sands that goes on forever and hardly anyone else to share it with.

come early on a sunny day for car park. great walking area and the dogs love the beach. wide open space for the children to play and bracing wind. a firm favourite in our family.

We found this lovely beach while travelling around the countryside. Parked up and followed the signs towards the beach, and wow what a gorgeous surprise. At the time the tide was out so we could walk through many pools and streams left behind, over sand...More

As a dog owner this beach is fantastic, we've visited many times in the past and this Bank Holiday was no exception. It's rare that beaches allow dogs on the beach in such a free way - e.g dogs allowed but on leads - so...More

Considering we visited in August, the school holidays, the beach was almost deserted. It took almost 30 mins to walk down to the waters edge from the car park! Lovely, safe area for young children. Well behaved dogs everywhere..... although everywhere in Norfolk!

Here's the thing dog owners, not everyone likes dogs. You may think your 'killer shitzu' (the owner's words when she saw my daughter acting scared) is cute. My 3 year old doesn't, especially when not on a lead. At the car park everyone funnels through...More

Here's my top 10 points to help if you are thinking of visiting following my recent trip to the beach here: 1. You need to pay for parking, currently £7 a day. 2. It's a long but pleasant walk to the beach through the Nature...More

Beautiful beach well worth a visit if your in the area and dog friendly!! Although you park in a very pricey car park and have approx 20 mins walk from car park to beach but it is well worth it

Holkham Bay is a wonderful place to walk for miles with your dog - either along the vast expanse of sands or through the pine forests. It's somewhat disappointing that the Pay & Display car park is somewhat expensive with an ice cream van and...More

Would be hard going even with an off-roader pushchair. I would put them on my shoulders if I was you and enjoy the workout!

Park at the end of the drive opposite Holkham Hall, and walk to the left. At least that's what my map says.

It is safe to run on the beach, but take care not to be on the sea side of the shipping channel as the tide turns. Buy a tide table and remember, tide tables are GMT, not British Summer Time! The beach runs for about 15... More
