Fabulous family day
Oct 2021
I'm a bit of a newbie to waterparks so was unsure how the day would go. It was fabulous! I think the teens had as much fun laughing at their parents on the slides as they had on the slides themselves. In summary:

Pre-book your passes

Get there about 9:15 (I know, you will have to wait a wee bit, but once the gates open the pre-booked line goes super fast)

After being herded for a group photo, head straight to the main area with all the shops to buy your locker key and fast pass. Yes, I know it's a bit extra, but come afternoon its worth it.

We went straight to wave pool/beach to grab some loungers, then headed straight for the big hitters. We didn't use our fast passes for the first hour or so as the lines were non-existent or quite short. However, they soon build up and there are long waits. Thankfully the park was very well set out to avoid standing in direct sunlight.

The fast pass doesn't include the Tower of Power, so get that one in earlier in the day. You then have one fast pass per ride plus one extra for your favourite (ours was the Dragon).

The park is beautifully landscaped in a Thai theme. Having travelled a lot in the Far East, it felt very authentic and the attention to detail was great.

So I went from a waterpark newbie to a waterpark fan! Fantastic family day out.

Rides are class. Mask wearing isn’t that bad.

As water parks go this place is up there. The quality of the slides makes it worth the visit. A lot of rubber dingy slides which I always think are the best. In an ideal world you’d go in a 4 so you don’t have to share with any randomers on some of the slides. You will do some steps! The maps are pretty poor but the slides are almost in 2 sections.

My advice… get the queue jump! It gives you the guarantee of getting on every ride with the chance to queue for the ride you enjoyed the most. Without it you will feel like you are just queuing for the whole day. €15 euros is worth it.

I would get there at 9:30 and pay on the internet before you get there. Make sure you queue in the prepaid line. Be prepared to queue and try avoid the photo they try to make you have so you can queue for a locker quicker. Once you’ve got rid of your belongings go to the dragon, jungle snake and the giant first. I thought these were the best. Don’t waste a queue jump if you get in early as the queues only get longer as the day goes on. Isn’t really a queue jump for the ‘tower of power’.

The lazy river is pretty good. Nice way to chill once you’ve done the bulk of the slides. There is a pretty good slide within the lazy river so don’t miss out. Better on a single dingy vs double dingy.

To improve the rating the park needs to invest in wrist bands that let you pay for stuff throughout the day or you put credit on so you don’t have to go back to lockers whenever you want a drink/food.

Finally the mask situation isn’t that bad! Security guards are pretty strict but you don’t have to wear them once on the rides or in the water.

Enjoy!

Fantastic day out suitable for all ages, you can do as little or much as you want. Plenty of rides but also sunbeds if you just want to lazy around.

Awful experience! They should remain this place Queue park. Expect to wait an hour for each ride which last 5 -60 seconds. People expected to wait in queues in 30-40 degree heat when their sun protection is locked away in lockers. We went outside ok UK school time (peak) and didn’t manage to get on half the rides. 1 star for the wave pool.

Brilliant - But a stupid and backwards mask policy

Flat out the best waterpark I have ever been to. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Buy fast passes (€15 each) and get there early (latest 9:30) to make the most of the day. That way you can smash a load of rides in the morning with minimal queuing then once the crowds arrive use your fast pass for the rides.

The only negative was the militant and absolutely mental mask policy. The whole park is outside and they make you wear a mask everywhere. Its like going back 12 months in time. Covid measures gone mental. The UK is miles ahead of Tenerife in terms of unlocking in general but Siam Park really took the biscuit with this rule. Fair enough if queuing for a busy ride but just walking around the park? Insane.

Nontheless a brilliant day and if you hit Tenerife its an absolute must-do.

Overrated waterpark
Oct 2021 • Family
I've visited plenty of waterparks over the last 10 years and this one definitely isn't one of the best.... Never mind being self proclaimed as the best in the world.

Negatives:

It's a Covid accident waiting to happen! It's clear the management team pay Covid restrictions lip service only. Absolutely no social distancing and very limited hand gels located throughout the park.

We were told beforehand to book in advance as there is currently limited access to the park due to the ongoing pandemic. Clearly on the 18th October this wasn't the case as it was extremely overcrowded. Park staff made no attempt to keep their customers safe it just seemed they were more intrested in cramming as many people in as they could.

Rides aren't actually that great. It's hard to distinguish the difference between most. They aren't bad slides just nothing special.

Food and drink is extremely overpriced. Soft drinks and beers are roughly four times local supermarket prices. To be fair, Siam park is no different from most parks who exaggerate prices once they have a captive audience.

Ticket prices are ridiculous compared to other water parks we've visited in Europe. For a family of four visiting the park for the day and buying lunch will cost more than 160 euros. That's before you even consider fast passes!

Positives:

The park is tidy and the surroundings are nice.

Plenty of shade which unfortunately you'll need it when your waiting around 45-60 mins per ride.

Wave pool is great although it only operates ever 30 mins or so.

Hate being so negative but it just wasnt a great day out unfortunately.

Siam is a must!

Siam park is amazing. There's no doubt about that. The rides are just fantastic, the wave in the wave pool is just huge & the food is really good & surprisingly well priced, when compared to UK theme parks. I mean, you can actually eat healthily from their selection. We got there early (9:10am} & were 3rd in the prepaid queue. We got fast track tickets for the rides & the locker straight away, but didn't use the fast track until the afternoon. Getting in so early, meant we could just go on all the rides in the 1st hour or so with barely a queue. Only in from about 11:30 did it really start to get busy, so we used our fast track in the afternoon. The mask policy is daft & it was barely enforced. The masks are soaked immediately & you do not have to wear them while on the ride, as this would be akin to waterboarding! Only one security guard did apologetically enforce it, but by mid afternoon hardly anyone had the mask over their face & the staff on the rides just don't have the time or will to enforce it. My one complaint, was that the Singa ride was out of action, then reopened around 3:30. Lots of people including ourselves then queued, but it still wasn't working. We were there for ½ an hour. The staff really should of made sure the fault was properly fixed before allowing people through to queue in the heat for so long, only to then say it wasn't working still. That was extremely poorly managed, without any regard for the paying customer.
But all in all, it's a incredible water park & is a must visit if you're in the south of Tenerife.

Good but not amazing
Oct 2021 • Couples
Average to good Waterpark nothing special or worth being the best in Europe or the world. A few good slides but nothing extremely amazing and I haven't been to many waterparks. Wave pool was good but still not that exciting. We got the VIP inclusive not really worth the money unless you go on things a few times. You could just get the fast pass which is 15 per good ride if you dont plan on going stuff more than once. Nothing amazing enough to go again and again. In October it is nicely shaded so not too hot etc

Good…. Definitely more than 33% capacity….
Oct 2021 • Couples
Had a fantastic time. I got the fast pass on both visits so queues were small, but its absolutely packed to the brim. They say its 33% capacity, but I seriously think they just let in as many as possible. I did however love both visits and will continue to come here every holiday I take to Tenerife.

The only annoying thing is if you are Spanish the lifeguards rarely mark there fast passes. I would not recommend this place if you are cautious of covid as the rules are very loosely followed. Also I have asthma and wearing a mask at 30• while at a waterpark is like death lol.

I loved my visit!!!
