Loved the visit to this piece of history. The engineering ability of the Romans and the Greeks is amazing to see after 2000 years.

This was not at the top of our must-do list at the beginning of our three-week visit to Andalusia, but it ended up being in the top 3 of favourite spots that we had visited when we compared notes at the end of our stay. It was a special visit to the remains of a Roman city, especially located on... More

This is a site of great importance and unlike many in Spain has been restored over the years making it one of the most interesting in Andalusia in my opinion! This is our fourth visit and every time we see something new and additional on going work has added something extra. It is also free to EU residents an added... More

the Roman site is very well preserved, the museum is also very good, and FREE You can walk around the site, take pictures. It's just in front of one of the best beaches in Spain, long fine golden sand, clear water perfect for swimming a bit... feels like if you were in an exotic caribbean island. There are some restaurants... More

This is an excellent tour of a Roman archaeological site which in its day was an important town and tuna-salting factory. The tour is well way-marked and all the important points are signed in both Spanish and English. In addition there is a museum of artefacts found on the site. Definitely worth the 2 hours taken to stroll gently around... More

Worth visiting at any season, the location is excellent and offers amazing views. The historic site would benefit from more throughout information in more languages.

Roman ruins with a direction to follow. The information is complete for the most part. You get to understand what it was like to live in a time long ago. What the people of the day lived like in this place at their time. With the trails that encompass the ruins and then the museum with it pictorials and artifacts... More

I was in awe at how the Romans settled the area and were able to live there. The museum intro and the walk around the ruins with beautiful ocean and cliff surroundings took about two hours. I tried three times to go and kept arriving when it was closed; so don't forget to check the hours when making plans. They... More

Great place to visit, right next to the beach and lots of different ruins to see. The signs were translated to English and most of the displays inside were too. Also free if your part of the EU.

The ruins here are well signposted with a large car park. Entrance is €1.50 unless you are an EU citizen (with ID) and then it's free. The route through the town is well laid out and there are excellent descriptive boards at all the pertinent points. There isn't a huge amount to see - no mosaics, no amazing statues or... More
