Albert our volunteer guide was fabulous and despite fog, as often is the case, delaying our pre booked trip by 90 minutes and the less than warm greeting at reception when we were told to go away and come back in an hour this was a wonderful experience. Albert talked through some truly interesting stuff that to someone less fanatical... More

A 40 minute talk, in language of your choice, to talk about the mission of FIRMM. Yes it is about whale watching but also about informing we people of the plight of marine mammals and the gathering of research to forward this end in the Straits of Gibraltar. An amazing eco-system. Like all activities of this kind nature and the... More

We went out on Saturday for a two hour trip, we were so lucky we saw Dolphins, Pilot Wales and Sperm Wales, we were so lucky, yes maybe thirty people on board, but worth every euro, good explanation at the start

Sustainability is at the center of FIRMM's tours: Guests get informed briefly, but thoroughly before boarding. During the trip guides answer all of your questions. Sightings are announced and commented, and the maritime mammals are approached with the utmost respect. Outstanding!

This was bought as a gift & FIRMM was chosen as they are responsible for research & conservation. Trip was brilliant ~ you meet an hour prior to departure for a talk given into the ethos of FIRMM ~ their work monitoring & identifying the marine mammals of the area. Alfred (hope I have name correct) is a volunteer with... More

Being entirely non-profit, I would suggest to only use them to go whale watching. They actually care about those mammals, do a lot of research and teach you a thing or two. We registered for a sponsorship and I kinda wanted to go whale watching every day to see how 'our' Juana and Baby Tony were doing. When we're back... More

We went for the 2 hour trip, an excellent choice as it turned out. We have seen bottleneck dolphins and 2 families of pilot whales. It was impressive to see those intelligent beings so close and in their natural environment. I would like also to point out that tour was guided by Katharina Heyer the founder of FIRMM, who has... An enjoyable couple of hours. Nice calm water. Saw a huge pod of dolphins and spent around 40 minutes watching them. Unfortunately no whales the day we wnt

Went on a tour with my family - we were not optimistic as we'd been on tours such as this in other countries and had not seen much. However we were not disappointed - although we were out of season for orcas we saw about 30 long finned pilot whales, some of which came right up to the boat! The... More

I completely recommend the whale and dolphin watching trip with FIRMM. They provide a talk at the start (you can choose from several languages) and give a great explanation of the marine mammals that can be found in the Strait of Gibraltar and the situation for them and the fish. They were honest and told us upfront we would not... More
