It goes on for miles! And is backed by Roman ruins. Well worth a visit. And as an EU citizen it was free to enter!

The wind from the Atlantic blows strong and sure, particularly as it 'necks' through the narrow gap between Spain and Morocco where Tarifa is situated. You will see no less than 100 plus kitesurfers on the water carving it up. They come from all over...More

I have to say I much prefer the Atlantic beaches compared to the Mediterranean ones in this part of Spain. They feel more spacious and although the water is cooler the beaches are generally cleaner. The great thing about this beach is that there is...More

We stated in Tarifa but on recommendation decided to cycle to this beach and it is glorious. I wouldn’t recommend the cycle as it is very hilly once you leave the main road but it is spectacular

What a beach, sand and water to die for! We walked to the far end due to the wind and climbed up the dune great view I would go back here swimming in the sea was just unreal clear, waves and cooling!

Beautiful and quiet beach, loved it! If you are looking for a beach that is not crowded but peaceful and stunning, this is definitely one! And nice waves!

Visiting Bolonia in the old days (30 ys. ago), one could find wild horses and even a wild bull in this beach. Nowadays, the beach can get quite crowded with difficulty accesing the town due to heavy traffic.

It is a magnificent beach, with blue sea and fine sand. Next to the beach are the Roman ruins of Baelo Claudia and they are spectacular

This is a beautiful beach at the Costa de la Luz. But it's very popular in summer so be there early to have a parking place and if you won't get stuck in the traffic. I think it's better to go here in off season.

I used to windsurf there many years ago, It's almost always windy, with strong currents. I wouldn't recommend snorkeling, Maybe bringing a good beach tent with stakes would be better, This is a wild coast, known for... More
