This is an excellent walk that finishes with great views over Jaen and it is free. When visiting the castle or the Parador this walk is an added bonus to your visit. The Cathedral is very imposing as you look down at it,
Havjng arrived at the Castillo, then the cross is at the end of a short walk along the footpath that runs alongside the castle from the entrance.

Just 5 minutes walk from Castillo de Santa Catalina. Footpath is wide and easy. Great view over the city and the whole valley.
There are few benches on the way so you can take your time and enjoy the experience. Recommended.

It is by the castle but the walk up here you can do for free. Absolutely great . The walk ain’t far from the parking. When you there not to late you get a sight of the morning fog going away. Really nice

The walk along the cliff top to La Cruz is free. The old castle on the top has an admission charge but is very cheap and well worth a look but check the opening hours we had to wait until 5PM. After your walk you can get a coffee in the impressive Parador which is next to the castle. Hope you enjoy Toledo and Granada as much as we did. Paul Carey
