You should watch the video in the visitors center so you have some understanding. It is multi lingual. The man made caves are impressive but there is little to see except the huge scale of the task to build it

One of the most important sites of Dolmens in Europe. The structures are massive and in some ways represent a greater fete than Stonehenge, though on a lesser scale. They demonstrate how advanced the people of the early Neolithic era were All well organised and...More

..... Antequera's Worl Heritage site gave me an opportunity to find out. Really eerie feeling to enter the cave-like structures which archeologists estimate to have been constructed around 2500BC. Spectacular views from site. Free entry and well worth a visit

Dolmen sites are always very interesting. The reasons, the construction, the preservation, all the question marks involved. This site is shows the same things.

Impressive feat to move such large stones. The larger Dolmen is particularly impressive. 30 minutes is plenty of time.

One can only marvel at this highly important archaeological site on the outskirt of Antequera. There are three monuments - the history of how they were constructed is well documented and illustrated on site by a film and various publications. Now well preserved and UNESCO...More

When I think of the Flintstone's house, this would fit the description. The size of the stones is incredible. There are 3 dolmens, 2 at the main site where the visitor's center is located, and one a few kilometers away. Entrance and parking are free....More
