Most interesting Roman/Visigothic /Moorish/Christian castle perched on a hill above Antequera and with a stunning (former) Church dating from 1550. A bit of a climb out of the centre of town to get there but absolutely worth the effort. One ticket covers both castle and...More

An unused church next to the Alcazaba of Antequera. There's an entrance fee which seems to be combined with the entrance to the Alcazaba. As it's largely unused, there's not much to see. There's the usual chapel and high alter, which are all okay. The...More

Unused church next to entrance to alcazaba. Entrance fee can be purchased at alcazaba office. Location is sparsely furnished with a few interesting displays of local interest. A video on a loop explains local legends and customs.

Iconic part of Antequera heritage and history is beautiful in location with its plaza and overlooking the Roman ruins and excavations. Inside it is a typical church of the 16th century - but hosts some interesting video and exhibition events. Do visit. Its over 100...More

A lovely place to visit although a fairly uphill walk. The views from outside of Antequeria were lovely. There was a small charge to enter.
