We took overnight trains, fast trains, lots of trains during our Spain adventure. It was great. Sometimes the trains had buskers. Some bad, some fair, some good, some great. But they disturbed the monotony and added artistic joy to our journeys

Yes you can buy on arrival. There are machines that use cash and card. I would have the Euro cash ready in case a machine is out of order. There may also be an attendant around at the time you arrive.

The only way we did it was to persevere on line. I know its difficult but you can get the answers in the end
