This is truly an incredible castle! We paid for the full tour and one photo tax. The tour was not in English and we were given an printout to follow along. That is very difficult to do so we broke free from the group and...More

Impressive Castle, perfectly preserved, which is on the "must do" list of anyone visiting the area. Guided tour is offered, and for larger groups you should arrange in advance if you need to have the tour delivered in another language.

This is definitely NOT the more well-known castle to tourists, and after visiting Bran, it was such a welcome. We hired a driver from our hotel to take us out to Peles Castle. The drive was long but nice. There is definitely a lot of...More

Visited on the same day as Vlad Castle...would have been happy to have given it a miss. Just like a large stately house only with very poorly arranged tours. Lots of waiting for everything...loos, food etc. Gardens nice but lots of restoration needed for pathways,...More

This castle was built in the 1880's by the first King of Romania, Charles the First of Hohenzollern. Since he came from a fabulously wealthy German aristocratic family he spared no expense to build one of the most beautiful castles in Europe. Unlike Neu Schwanstein,...More

This castle is a must-go if you visit Romania. There are so many castles in Europe which are much more well-known and bigger in size. The level of sophistication and attention given is rather rare! Everything is carefully design and put together according to King...More

Sinaia is, for me, unexpected beautiful tourist destination. So nice nature and so nice buildings. Peles castle is the most attractive. MUST to visit!

I would advise you to take the phone numbers from one or two taxi company's before you go to the castle. and when you're ready to go...just call them to come and pick you up... but nothing better than a walk on a sunny... More

How safe are the roads to the castle please. Are there hair pin bends and sheer drops off the road

The roads are good, but there are many curves and hairpin bends, so you have to drive slowly.

Hi, Not that I know but it is easy enough at the gate. The Castle has set times where it lets people through with a guide. If you are by yourself probably best to visit in the afternoon after the buses have left or get... More
