This is the great thing about Portugal; every town has a beautiful church with lots of history, ornamentation and religious significance to show off. Stop in to admire the art and the devotion. No need to stay long or to make it a specific destination.

It is centrally located in the main square so easily found. I wish I'd had more time to explore the interior but tours sometimes don't allow it.

A must visit once you take the funicular from Nazare - in the main square a short walk from the funicular station. It is free to enter and walk around the church but it does cost €1 to get up close to the Black Madonna....More

It definitely worth a visit, from here you can see all of Nazaré and further down you have great view from the cliff by the light house. Come, you will enjoy it a lot!!

This is the main attraction in O Sitio. It is a well maintained church with some interesting altars. The blue tiles are very pretty. It is attractive for its simplicity.
