Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our children loved the farm and had great fun in all the different play areas. There is great variety of animals and we saw 1 lovely staff member on the farm feeding the monkeys who happily chatted to us about them and what they liked to eat etc. The monkeys were very entertaining especially trying to break the coconut!
There are some areas of the farm that could do with some upkeep particularly the landscaping. There were some large thick thistles around the geese pond and long grass under the goalposts for example. The gravel path was very difficult to push a buggy on and it would be a big improvement if that could be upgraded.
The food in the cafe was nice and very fresh. The normal menu selections you would expect. We did feel the emphasis on customer service could be a lot better. No staff member inside made any decent impression. The welcome as we came in was poor and similarly as we were leaving. I understand when you have let 1000 people in the door that there is no mystery or magic to it but staff would do well to remember it is the visitors first time and effort should be made each and every time someone comes through the door. However none of this impacted on the kids enjoyment and we would return.

Good old fashioned family fun here. We had two great trips during a recent staycation in Ardmore. For young kids, this is ideal. I was genuinely surprised by how many animals and attractions there were here and found it great value and fun. We stayed in glamping pods next door so got to visit twice (second visit free). Staff were friendly and the place was easy to explore (not as tiring as a full zoo like Dublin or Foto in Cork) so it’s ideal for small legs. There was plenty to see and the games were a lovely addition and play areas with slide etc. Keep up the great work, we’ll be back.

Family Staycation 2020, found this gem and had a lovely day out, helped by great weather. Great selection of animals and very well laid out with Covid 19 in mind. Kids really enjoyed it (15,14&10) . My kids are beyond the indoor playground but loved the board games. Well worth a visit

Excellent fun filled day in Ardmore mini farm. We arrived without booking but there was no problem. The staff were all so friendly. The facilities were excellent and all areas were assessable by tarmac paths meaning no problems with buggies and wheelchairs and no issue with kids getting dirty. It was very well laid out with signs very visible with lots of info on display about the animals. We got to see all the animals there which was great and they all looked so healthy and well looked after and the conditions of their homes was excellent. The indoor soft play was lovely with plenty of places to sit while the kids enjoyed themselves. The shop was well stocked and had something for all budgets. We easily spent 3 hours there and could have spent longer if we hadn’t dinner booked elsewhere. I would highly recommend a visit to Ardmore Mini Farm

Ardmore open farm is way more than the title lets on. They had loads of animals you would only normally see in a zoo. And loads of room to roam around. No queuing. No hassle. My family thoroughly enjoyed our 4 hours in there. A great way to spend an afternoon.

I have been to loads of open farms, this was one of the best I have seen. The animals were well cared for, the kids loved the monkeys and the lamas! The racoons were also a huge hit! Great variety of animals and the farm is well laid out. Kids loved the maze and the mechanical diggers were the highlight. We are here too, the food was really good. Kids pasta was perfect size and we all really enjoyed our lunch. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit for anyone with young kids. The view from the farm is also a bonus !

Stay in the pods here 2 years ago and it was amazing.. The staff couldn't have been nicer and very helpful. Tonight we went back to the santa experience and I have to say it was breath taking.. From the minute you walk in the door to the minute you leave the staff were so nice.. Santa and Mrs Claus were the best I've seen yet and my son is 7.

I visited Ardmore Open Farm and Mini Zoo today. My very first viewing was two seperate pens - one with rabbits and the other containing young chicks. NEITHER were provided with water which was of great concern to me! An individual with me happened to have water to hand and filled their water containers. I also observed througout the farm a number of other animals that should be provided with more spacious enclosurers - some of the pens are way too small. Animal welfare is NUMBER 1 so I personally have no hesitation in saying that there is need for improvement.

Paid Santa a visit at Ardmore Open Farm with our grandson today. Fantastic experience. Lots of interaction with the elves,Mrs Claus and Santa. Decorations were great with a model village being the highlight for me. Santa was great with our grandson. Highly recommend this Christmas experience with the kids!

What a wonderful experience. We brought a young man with autism and he absolutely loved it. The carers have free entry. This is such a hidden gem. So much to see and do. You could easily spend a few hours here over looking the Blackwater. 5 stars amazing.
