About
Beár An Ráille is a family run pub owned by the Kiernan Family. Currently at the helm are brothers Dermot & Dale who took over from their father Marty in the mid 00's. We run a friendly, relaxed local bar that has a warm welcome for everyone from the local punter to the wide eyed tourist. We are just on the edge of town on the main Galway road and are round the corner from Roscommon Train Station and across the road from The Abbey Hotel. What we do: All Major Sporting Events, Live Music Pool Table - Local competition most Friday nights through the winter. Darts Board Juke Box High Speed WiFi Free Charging - Gadgets need juice and we have lots of plugs! phones/cameras/laptops we have most cables but not all of them so bring your just own to be sure. Beer Garden With Heated, Covered Smoking Area - Gets pretty cold & wet round here! Free Tea & Coffee For Bikers - Dermot loves his motorbike so if you're out for a ride, call in. We Also Sell Drink - Alcoholic, non-alcoholic, hot, cold whatever you like as long as it's wet! We are now able to offer credit, debit & contactless card payments at the bar.

The Railway Bar is our local and we are very proud to say that. We have brought some family events there and each one has been Flawless. Operated by Dale and Dermot along with Michelle and the team you can be guaranteed to be looked after well. All through these Covid times they have followed every guideline to Perfection and still offered the homely Welcome. The Only negative thing I can find is when it comes time to leave each night, I find that part very hard.... I'd recommend it to Anyone out there... put it on your Bucket List today

Cant praise this place enough. It was on my bucket list to visit and boy did we love it. Dale and Michelle couldn't be nicer. A warm and friendly atmosphere. The outdoor was so clean and well set up. You were brought to your table and table service was excellent. Cant wait to call again. Great place great chats I didnt want to leave.

We stayed at the Abbey across the street and went to this bar both nights. The owner was super friendly and chatted with us the whole time the first night. It’s very clean and has a nice heated outdoor smoking area. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place

This was our go to pub. The staff was great. Know the area well and love to put you in the right places to go for food. Don't serve food but you can bring it in.

Very handy for the rail station, in Abbeytown, about 5 minutes walk from Roscommon town centre towards Galway.

This is a typically well-run Irish bar. You go here, mainly to drink, although some basic food is available. The welcome is warm, from the excellent staff led by Dale, and the regulars (many of whom seem well dug in). You are likely to encounter some real characters in here.

The Guinness is good (as you would expect) but there is a wide range of drinks appropriate to the establishment. If you are staying at the Abbey Hotel across the road, this may be a better option for a drink in the evening if you are looking for the genuine Irish experience (i.e. rural West of Ireland town pub) rather than a slightly more well-heeled atmosphere.

The toilets are spotless and the outside smoking area is inviting, too.

Overall, a good destination for a good night out in Roscommon.

we were down for a wedding and staying nearby and popped in. A good move! Lovely, inviting, the locals smiled and welcomed us. Apparently it's been in the family for years, and it shows - they couldn't do enough for you. Next door is a lovely little café if u need soakage (!!). Highly recommended spot, on the edge of town but well worth dropping in. Family-owners again and again make all the difference, thanks for a nice evening,

Was here last Saturday night - place was buzzing, they had a Charity event on for Blood Bikes, seemed to be really well attended. Service is very friendly and fast paced - no waiting around for drinks. There was a BBQ out the rear of the Bar - not sure if this is normal - was part of the fundraiser, food was really good (don't mean to be surprised, but way better than I had expected).
Overall a very good pub - clean, well light, good service, great atmosphere.
Recommended highly.
