Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful a must if in most common, absolutely beautiful, tranquil, peaceful atmosphere. parking on site very central to town. You can light some candles. Say some prayers. I think they also do a tour as we seen turbos as in the car parked sadly the public toilets that said we belong to the church we’re not available if they were locked.

Ok... I'm biased, I'm from Roscommon, but a beautiful building is a beautiful building, and this is a beautiful building. You don't have to have religion or faith to admire what is a great piece of architecture.

Always enjoy visiting this beautiful church amongst the most impressive in Ireland..love the high spire and impressive facade..tastefully decorated throughout. Not really religious now though this building really evokes my cultural Catholicism A must see when in Roscommon town!

I live in Spain and have recently visited Rome, so hard to impress with a church. Pleasant place, well loved and according to my Irish relative quite ornate for an Irish church. Worth a visit and the town itself is pleasant with plenty of places to eat

We like to visit churches when we travel. We were amazed to find such a gorgeous, detailed designed church in a small town like Roscommon. This church rivals the cathedral in Dublin. The architectural design of this church is amazing with a 53 meter high spire and clock tower and a large rose window. The interior decoration is decadent with amazing attention to detail. The stained glass windows are beautiful. There are colorful mosaics on the floor and walls inspired by Italian masters. There is a large ornate alter and a tall vaulted ceiling. In the back of the church there is a large organ framing the rose window. This is a "must see" when in Roscommon.

I think this church was one of my favorites that we saw in Ireland, and we saw a lot. This is such an exquisite church with gorgeous architecture and stained glass. This church is stunning inside and out with prayer gardens to boot. They even have a beautiful wrought iron fence/gate surrounding the property. You can truly feel God in this space. St Michael can be seen at the tip protecting the church from the outside. The attention to detail is amazing. They sell a book that is not very expensive with pictures of the church and the history outlined that is well worth buying.

You would never believe this church is here. It is so beautiful and so unlikely. Who could imagine that a church this gorgeous would be in a small town like Roscommon? The mosaic wall behind the alter is incredible. There is not one surface in this church that doesn't have art to rival Rome.

This is a very beautiful church in the heart of Roscommon town, by far and away the tallest and most distinctive building in the town. It has a huge spire with a clock face on the outside and a very distinctive circular stained glass window high above the entrance doorway with a huge pipe organ below it.. The whole inside is beautiful too with very distinctive gold gilt on the wall behind the ornate altar, lovely mosaic work throughout and a tall vaulted ceiling.
I was there on a Sunday between masses and it was very serene and peaceful. Definitely worth calling in to see it if you are in the town.
