I've seen a lot of churches in Ireland, and Sacred Heart is one of the most beautiful. The stained glass, the carved pulpit, the gold 'frescoes', and the overall architecture were absolutely stunning. I'd go out of my way to see this church.
You can see this church from all over Roscommon Town. Unusually big for the size of the town, it is a beautiful building and well worth a visit.
