BEautiful Church

This is a beautiful church with a very unique outdoor, underground grotto. The interior was gorgeous. The church, like many is a Gothic church built many years ago

I visited Roscommon and decided to visit this church to see how it was and I got to say, the stained glass on the walls were really well made and so was the general layout of the building. The church was quite big altogether and the best part was definitely the flowers in front of the church which were planted... More

It's really lovely. We walked in, lit a candle, and sat quietly, enjoyed it and it was very pleasant.

I really like this church....high ceilings and spacious feeling inside. A real sense of peace and calm pervades the building. As other contributors have noted there are many architectural features to see here. Worth a visit if you are staying in the area.

This is an impressive Church for a provincial town. It has a high vaulted ceiling and fine bell tower. Unusual painted ceiling over the altar and carvings along the face of the gallery. The organ looks impressive and we would love to have heard it in full voice. The local people were justifiably proud of their local church

This church stands on high ground towering over the town and hinterland. It is built in a fine blue limestone with feature stone around the windows. The spire is very high although the design is somewhat lacking. There is such a cluster of mini-spires near the top that it takes away from the spikeyness of the spire. Internally the windows... This is a beautiful church in the middle of the town. It is a major landmark. Inside it is very beautiful and peaceful. It is a magnificent piece of architecture. Well worth a visit.
