Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here in my camper van with 3 dogs (Oct 2021). Nice owner, very laid back attitude & friendly (No Gestapo rules about dogs which was refreshing).Nice quiet fellow campers on the small site. Had a great nights peaceful sleep.
I am told washing/toilet facilities are being upgraded this winter 😁
Definitely recommend this place. Cheap for my van €20 for a night 🤙

The site was pleasant and situated in a quiet location. The proprietor was a pleasant bloke helpful and a good business man. There were a couple of issues, the communal areas, showers, toilets etc seemed like they needed a deep clean. The other which will be temporary was the building work that was ongoing early until late in the evening which was very noisy. Price was fairly high compared to other sites visited which were a better standard €25 night for campervan and 2 adults showers extra €1

The ancient castle of the Ui Maine is located on the waters edge, marking the edge of the lands owned by this clan. Beside the castle is the remains of Lord Croftons boathouse.
