The lunch here was simple, sandwiches and soups which were tasty but not special. The real feature, especially for kids is that it is away from the bustle of Newgrange itself and there are sheep/lambs, goats, chickens, horsed, rabbits and cows that kids can see up close. There are tables outside and inside. Tour buses do stop here from time... More

We brought our son here at the weekends, the animals are all well cared for and plenty of staff to answer any questions kids might have. Its a pet farm, so kids have access to the animals. Our little man would have been happy to stay all day.

€7 per person is a bit to pricey for a family of 5, especially for what you actually get. Otherwise a lovely day out and lovely to see a well kept working farm. My only real disappointment was when we all got a coffee at the end €2 to sit in........And an extra 50c to get a paper cup to... More

Hi Roy C Sorry to hear you were disappointed - we know it's the little things that can sometimes make or break a day out but we wanted to clear up why you paid an extra 50c for the take-out coffee. The take-out coffee is a 12oz cup - the coffee you are served inside - that comes in a... More

Newgrange Farm is a wonderful place to introduce children to farm life. There was a wide variety of creatures, from long haired cows to turkeys, lambs, ducks, pigs and chickens. The children can come face to face with animals they had only seen in books to that point. The highlight for me was seeing my little boy squeal with delight... More

This is a great place for families with kids. There are the animals to look at, new chicks, calves to feed, puppies, kittens, birds and ducks. Play area including tractors, a hay den for playing hide and seek. Sand pit and water area. Good picnic facilities.

I enjoyed my time at this farm, the animals were lovely & you got to see/pet them all. I loved the donkeys & the goats, they were great. The only issue I had is that I felt so sorry for the puppies & kittens! Kept in wee tiny rooms with such little space & no bedding at all! Kids running... More

We loved our trip here in August. So much to do other than just seeing the animals. Children can be kept entertained for hours. And make sure to stay around the sheep for 4pm. It's hilarious and fantastic xx

Came for lunch only so no tractor ride etc and therefore not a fair view of the place but some basic animal husbandry issues. Pacing animals, chicken cooped up in tiny cages, three rabbits in enormous run which is great but no enrichment whatsoever. Some times you get the feeling they are just there to attract paying viewers in which... More
