Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place is so serene. And stunningly beautiful, the way it is set in the Irish countryside. Perfect for taking pictures and not crowded with hoards of tourists!

Very well kept & clean spot where you can have little adventures with small kids. Free parking and away from busy roads.

By complete accident we came upon the Bective abbey.
We were the only ones there, it is a very photogenic spot, the ruins date to the 15C.
We had a lot of fun exploring the abbey ruins.

This was part of a tour and it was so fun to explore. It is perfect for taking pictures and if I were to come back I would definitely arrange a proper photoshoot.

We stopped here when driving between Trim and Newgrange. It was a great place to let the kiddos wander, and we enjoyed a small picnic on a corner of the ruins. The parking lot is small but had enough space while we were there. Even though it’s a relatively small structure we were impressed by how complex the ruins are - lots of passage ways, stairs, towers, etc that are all open to explore.

The ruins were easily accessible and it was not crowded. Parking was plentiful and the walk to the ruins was short. It was worth the trip. 30 to 60 minutes is all that is needed.

This abbey stands alone off a small road in the country. There is a parking lot on the grounds, and one walks through a gate into the grounds. When we visited, there was a woman relaxing under a large tree, reading a book, taking advantage of the solitude of the area.
This is a well preserved abbey with a lot of nooks and crannies to explore. There are cows nearby, which became obvious as we were leaving and they had moved to near the parking lot while we were exploring the grounds.
There is no charge to enter.

This is a lovely place to go for a stroll and take a few pictures. It is very popular to take wedding pictures too as it is very near (10 mins) to The Station House, Co. Meath.

Located just off the main Navan to Trim road these ruins are worth a visit if in the area. There are lots of little places to explore inside the ruins and it seems to be very popular with families who use the surround green areas to picnic. There is a decent size car park to use.
