Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My 8-year-old daughter took part in a surf camp for four days in August. She had never been surfing before but Aisling and Neil made her feel very welcome. They encouraged her throughout the camp, enabling her to develop her skills and make new friends. Despite the wind and rain, she thoroughly enjoyed her experience.

The team at Fin McCool's Surf School were exceptionally flexible, providing all the equipment needed and allowing us to decided each day whether she'd take part the next.

I would wholly recommend them.

Couldn’t have asked for more, the team here are so friendly and explained things so easily. Great facilities and staff really made our experience. Would definitely recommend a surf lesson with these guys, helped this amateur get standing on the board!

We had three school tour trips this June to Finn Mc Cools from our primary school in Kinlough. We found the whole experience excellent with enthusiastic instructors who were great at getting the students to listen. There was excellent organisation and Covid-19 regulations which made the experience easy. See you next year

Friendly and fun staff. Fantastic location seconds from the beach. Jamie the instructor was patient with us and great craic. Very reasonable fee for 2hr lesson most of which was in the sea. Would highly recommend and will be back

Rented out a Surfboard and a wetsuit on the weekend, prices were ok. But I thought the customer service was really bad, the staff had an arrogant attitude that was really quite condescending. It's really a pity becasue I love Rossnowlagh and want to do a lot more surfing in the future but that has put me right off, I won't be going back. Next time I'll be going to Bundoran instead.

This surf school is so cool. And it is on the best beach in the world. Seriously!

A great way for your kids (or you) to have a great time, no matter what the weather in Ireland.

Great value for money and fantastic (and very safe) tuition.

Surf Meister Neil Brittons and his crew (especially Laura and Gary), do a wonderful job. There are not enough superlatives in the surfing vernacular to describe the sheer awesomeness of this COOL SCHOOL.

Thanks Guys

Really great shop. Could not have been more helpful outfitting my husband for surfing. They even delivered the board and wetsuit to our hotel.

Took a surf lesson with these lads last weekend. Best fun I've had for years. Only my second time surfing and Greg our tutor was great. Gave me the basic instruction and then just let me at it, getting on and falling off but always keeping a watchful eye and giving me a push sometimes.
What was really great was that he didn't differentiate in the least between me (an older person) and a much younger surfer. He was equally encouraging to both of us.
Neil the owner remembered me from a year ago, gave lots of advice about wetsuits (I might buy one) and just had plenty of time for his customers.
So the changing facilities are a little basic but when you're heading out into the Atlantic it doesn't matter.
The surf was great, perfect for beginners, never out of my depth. I would definitely recommend this location and this surf school and will be heading back asap.

Just spent a week in Ireland my two girls, aged 10 and 12, attended the surf school Monday to Friday 10.00am till 1.00pm. To be honest, I did not think they would last the week because it was pretty cold ( average13c) and when we left England it was really hot (34c one day) … so Ireland felt cold!!!, I could not have been more wrong, they had a fantastic time, really loved it and both managed to get upright on a board within a couple of days. The school provide wetsuits and boards, all you really need is a swimming costume and towel. Really friendly staff and great value. If we get to Ireland next year, we will be going back.
