Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not an easy place to get to and a bit small. We rewarded ourselves though with an iced hot chocolate and an iced coffee at Cookies which is just about opposite the track you have to use at the start. Very pleasant young student to serve us, small seating area for customers and of course cookies to eat.

This is a unique waterfall however only accessible when the tide is out and also a very hazardous walk across rocks to access. Some areas are quite high so do not attempt if not up to it.

I'm not sure we can really call this a "secret" waterfall anymore given it has a spot on Google Maps and everyone seems to know about it (we saw plenty of people there), but it's an adventure to get there all the same and definitely worth a visit. Be sure to check the tides ahead of time—best to go about an hour before low tide so you don't have trouble getting back out. Driving out of Killybegs toward Sliabh Liag, go past Fintra Beach and pull over and park when you reach the coffee cart on the right. There's a path through a gate across the road that takes you down to the water. Be respectful walking through—this is someone else's land! When you get down to the water, turn right and scramble across the rocks for a few minutes. You'll eventually reach a mini sandy beach and the waterfall. It is a magical little place and worth the walk out. Just be sure to head back before the tide comes in!

This is a challenging climb into it but well worth a visit. You need good footwear and make sure you get your timing right

The secret water fall is located a few mle from Killbegs on the way to Sliabh league just past Fintra beach. We patked at the first coffee wagon and the entrance is just opposite it.
Its a dirt track down through a field. At the bottom of the field you turn right and scramble across the rocks for about 15 to 20 minutes until you come to the cave, it definitely worth the scramble .
Be very careful as the rocks are very slippy and never go down near it if tide is in or on the way in. We went to it when the tide was out but locals informed us of the dangers of going to it, good few people about the day we were there so I imagine it wont be a Secret Waterfall for long.

Parking is on the bend near the coffee staff - there are only 3 or 4 spaces. If you go along the road above the beach you will see a farm gate with an obvious diagonal path down to the right.
Seeing the waterfall involved a scramble over the rocks around the base of a cliff which can only be accessed near low tide. DO NOT TRY AND VISIT IF THE TIDE IS COMING IN.
The waterfall can only be seen if you go into the cave. There is a pool to go through - but only ankle deep. You then come out into a blowhole where the cave room has collapse and a waterfall flows down.
Quite a magical place - but do heed the warning about the tide - I should hate to think that I got anyone into danger by leaving this review.
