Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It´s not the information center´s fault. They did their best, welcoming the cruisers in the harbor, handing maps and brochures. The problem is that there´s nothing to see in this little village.

The only reason to come to Killybeg is because the cruise stoped here. We had hired a tour with the cruise company, to see a near castle, but it was cancelled. All other tours were fully booked.

We wanted to see the Folk Village or the Cliffs. We tried to hire a taxi but there were very few and all taken. Another couple told us they took an early cab to the cliffs, but were very foggy and couldn’t see a thing. The cruise tour, wisely, departed after noon.

But we had no other choice than walking to town and understand why it isn’t marked in the Michelin green guide and hard to spot in Google Maps: there’s nothing to see. There was a cruise tour to see sheeps and sheepdogs in action, and even that one was fully booked. We only managed to visit its simple church, have a coffee at Mr B´s, and buy a few gifts in SweetNews, one of the 3 opened stores. I wish the cruise had made a stop in Donegal, instead.

Called in a couple of times. Everyone was very pleasant with lots of useful advice. Also did their walking tour with Helen which was great. Really good source of information about things to do and events in the area. They recommended the Hooked seafood event today which was superb.

The people at the Center were pleasant, organized, and helpful. Our tour guide Moya was excellent. She sang a couple Irish ballads for us to enjoy on our bus ride to the Sliabh League. The tour lasts approximately 3.5 hours and cost 35 Euros per person. You can reserve a seat on the bus online and strongly recommend you do so. The information center is staffed by volunteers, who are proud to welcome you to their beautiful fishing village. The mini bus holds 30 passengers. I usually do not like to book bus tours but a combination of factors, especially the volunteers, showed I had made the right decision. Irish is the language spoken here and this Centre provides a small card with some Irish words to try on the locals. The Centre also offers a walking tour of Killybegs. It overlooks the fishing boats in the harbor. Highly recommend booking a tour with the Information Centre.
