Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great accommodation and food, backed up by the friendliest of landlords. On the night we stayed we also had the be befit of Ronan the local philosopher and comedian for company. A genuine and friendly bunch
We were also able to park our bikes in the beer garden at the rear to keep them secure.

We are in a 3 week trip from Canada, staying in Glanmire. We happened upon this pub our first full day here and Steve went out of his way to chat up with our boys (who were pleased as ever to be allowed in the pub with us!). It was such a great atmosphere with great food that our boys have bugged us every day to return. We did head back on a Sunday to check out family day and they set up a bouncy castle for the kids, had his family come down to show the kids how to crab fish and again provided an excellent experience! 1 week left in Ireland and I'm sure we'll be back!

Great service, lovely burger and great craic. Shoutout to Orla in the bar and James in wash up. Oh I nearly forgot a huge thank you to Steve in the kitchen. Will most definitely be returning when I'm over from Vermont in the near future.

At the end of a working trip to Ireland, I was looking for somewhere other than my hotel to have a couple of pints. Heading along the road, O'Cearnaigh was the 1st pub I passed. Because its just rude to walk passed somewhere that's gone to the bother to sell beer, I popped in. It was relatively early in the evening mid week,so, the place as quite but friendly. Well appointed with bar, lounge, conservatory & patio with a beautiful riverside view.
I was welcomed like a regular. O'Cearnaigh has a great selection of stouts, lagers & craft ales & I was offered a taste of any that were unfamiliar to me before I ordered my pint. I spent a very enjoyable 3 hours at the bar, chatting & supping some great beer.
If I'm ever in the area again it'll be my 1st port of call.
