Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Didn't know about this place, but it was wonderful to walk around the park. Lots of different walk, nature and bits of history too

I’m very fortunate to live in walking distance of the Royal Gunpowder Mills. A beautiful walk through the old buildings and canals of the Royal Gunpowder Mills.
There are hard walking paths for families with push chairs or natural woodland paths. It’s beautiful anytime of the year.

Please be sensitive to the surroundings. We know you need to tidy up but let's not dessicate the wooded area.

The building are in a park, very accessible. However, even though it is clear a lot of work was done in the fairly recent past to maintain the buildings there is listed information available . Such a shame. If there had been a visitor centre or museum this would rate a 5. Still worth a sho especially if you ant a short work. Great if you have a dog to walk.

Great work has been done in the park, putting in walkways and cycle ways. Very popular with lovely walks by the river Lee and around by the gun powder mills

Fantastic place for a walk or stroll. Walks by the river are lovely, especially near the weir. Great for children, joggers and adults alike.

Don't expect a long history lesson, the site of the Royal Powder Mills only has a couple of signposts with the history of the Pwder Mills, and that's pretty much it... You're going there for the lovely walk through the woods, summer or winter. It's a great stroll to make at any time.

This ruins of a 19th century gunpowder mill has almost nothing of interest to offer, other than the fact that it was once there.

Lovely walk to take, very informative and they recently put in a fairy garden in the park as well as the new playground so the kids love it. Fab tarmac path up the park side of it so kids can cycle and skate etc. A few too many dogs off the lead for my liking but that is everywhere really.
