45 minutes from Cork city and you will be transported on an exclusive historical natural visitor experience. A charming 10-seater passenger ferry 'Yassy' and a local guide will transport you to the previously inaccessible island; up the steep grassy incline to the summit and inside the black tower and onto the lantern balcony. Only goats live on the island.. sometimes they come and say hello!

We did not book this in advance - big mistake. When we arrived, we found that the boat only holds 10 people and the book up quickly. It's well worth the trip. We decided to hang around to see if everyone showed up for their...More

Went on this tour recently and loved every minute of it. Our guide, Saibh was great and told the group about the history of the lighthouse aswell as local history and stories. This is well worth a visit.

It was too choppy to land but they kindly took us on a trip around the island as our 2 girls were absolutely distraught at not being able to visit the lighthouse from Song of the Sea. Lots of interesting facts about the decline and...More

Firstly, the boat trip out- very pleasant, and good to see that they're safety conscious (wearing of life jackets was compulsory, even though the trip was very short and very smooth.) The tour guide was very knowledgable and gave us lots of interesting information about...More
