While you should definitely not wait for the Great Geysir to erupt (it only happens twice or thrice a day), the famous Strokkur geysir erupts apx. every 5-8 minutes and reaches about 20 meters in height - so you're in for a treat and a great photo-op. Don't miss "Litli geysir", a tiny bubbly pool of water and the gorgeously... More

We did this as part of the golden circle tour. The weather was amazing clear skies and snow. The geyser erupted and was a sight to see. Close to a cafe too for a cuppa. Would definitely reccomend

We visited the geysers on Golden Circle Tour. They erupted often and sometimes twice. Fantastic! The attached restaurant was wonderful. Flavious prepared "tasting plates" which were a great value at $29 krona. They consisted of pork belly, two kinds of lamb, Icelandic cod, fish stew, and two types of vegetables. This was the best food we ate in Iceland.

Easy to get to and the 66 Degrees clothing is a little cheaper at the gift shop here than downtown. Plenty of space to hike around and very close to the secret lagoon.

Besides the wonderful geyser itself, our family enjoyed the restaurant. There is a large restaurant with a choice of buffet or a la carte. The tall chef at the hot table was especially kind and friendly to us and our children.

Very easily accessible spot. Very interesting given the geyser will erupt every 5 mins. If you cannot see it in one eruption, you can always wait for the next. There are also nice shops and cafes nearby!

Interesting natural activity, you should visit this place if you go to Iceland. It is not far from Rekjavik.

Nice phenomenon of nature, worth visiting. One of the geysers erupts regularly and makes the visit special.
