Well where can I start we met Matt from Sandemanns/New Europe at the central station outside starbucks where we traveled by train then a short bus ride to the concentration camp. We had a good chat on the journey and Matt told us how long he had been doing the job etc etc. We were in a nice small group... More

Ease of finding tour office and organisation of payment was done with ease. Tour Guide was Keith (irish) who was good at the start but rushed through the tour at high pace not allowing any time to browse information especially in the Dachau museum. Keith also only wanted to show areas of the camp which in his opinion were accurate... More

In Munich for one day after skiing in Austria, flying out the next. The kids wanted to visit Dachau. A highlight of our trip was the tour of Dachau. Strongly recommend using Curt at Big Hat Tours for a private tour. He was amazing, very informative and made it interesting for myself and the 5 college age kids along with... More

The museum was fascinating and so detailed, its very easy to spend 5hrs or more here. I would say at least 3 are needed though. Very easy to access from Munich by getting the S2 for about 20min from Munich Central followed by a 726 bus which stops directly outside the station and the concentration camp taking about 10min each... So very hard to believe what a crazy species mankind is. Yet, it still goes on today. It's crazy! The Germans were civilized, intelligent people and still did this. It's scary. Some parts of the world are uncivilized and unintelligent and I can see this crap happening. Great place for all people to see and think about things.

This was a place my family and I wanted to stop at since we were in the area. If you know anything about the camps at all you can imagine the horror that happened. A stop here helps remind a person that there are many evils in this world and we are very blessed to have overcome many of them.... More

If you are comfortable with the transit system in Germany, you can save money by traveling out to Dachau by yourself instead of paying a tour company. The Dachau memorial site has several English speaking tours through out the day for minimal costs and it was completely worth it. I definitely recommend the on site tour, our guide was so... More
