Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very nice views from the top of the Water tower. Pleasant surprise was that there is a lift to the top so no need to take stairs. Small entrance fee applies but it was wotrh it.

Basic panoramic tower about 50 m high. Elevator brings to the top and price was 2 euros per person (adults and kids). There was bit of queue but nothing bad. Views are nice but city looks very different from top. Trees hide most of the places and old buildings. There was free binoculars to watch further. You should see Bengtskär's lighthouse 25 kms away.

This is modestly priced and easy going basic sight if you like to see views around city and sea.

Definitley it is worth the uphill walk. Visit the church that is beside it, and enjoy the view from the top. Great views esp during the summer

A lift takes you up to the old water tower. From the observation deck there is a beautiful view to crntral Hanko and to the sea. The tower itself is small but it is worth visiting since the view is beautiful.
The tower is built in 1943 and the architect was Bertel Liljequist.

Hangon vesitorni (Hanko Water Tower) was built in 1943 and it is very beautiful. The elevator (the lift) takes you on the top, which is situated 65 meters above sea level. So this is a nice place to see the whole Hanko: picturesque wooden villas, the huge port, yacht harbors, islands, the sea etc. There is a free telescope on the top. Don't miss this place!

Fabulous views of Hanko from the top of this tower. Open from 1pm to 6pm in July and costs 2 euros per adult. A lift holding 6 people takes you to the viewing platform.

If you are interested to see the view of Hanko city from the
bird perspective, this is the place to go.
Open views up to the sea and surroundings in the city.
Very modest cost.
It can be a bit crowded, as there is no extra space outside,
the elevator takes only 6 people and is always busy.

However the absolute must in the city.

Easy to find, cheap entrance, and a good view over the Hanko area. Up at the viewing level one should wear something that a wind cannot penetrate.
