Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The museum of Hanko (Hangö) is very small. However, this year's exhibition is very interesting. It tells about nature in Hanko and also about the worldwide plastic problem. Unfortunately texts are only in Finnish and Swedish, not in English.

This time the museum provided a war time show from
german soldiers point of view in Finland.
The show area is pretty limited, and it takes only half an hour
to see it through, but if you are interested in the subject, this
could be an useful insight.

Hanko Museum is worth visiting during a Hanko visit. The museum is more than 100 years old. It is a very well maintained smallish museum. A lot of restaurants in the vicinity to enjoy a meal after a visit to the museum. Five euro entrance fee is very reasonable.

I have seen many changing exhibitions in this museum, the last one was about the famous glass designer from Hanko, Tapio Wirkkala. The changing exhibitions focus on specific themes. In 2018 it will be Durchgangslager Hangö, the German transit camp during WW2 in the southernmost tip of the Hanko peninsula. The camp was opened just a few months after the Russians left Hanko. The city has been torn by more wars than most of the cities in the word.
