This off road trail is not for regular cars or SUV's. It can be very steep and slippery. You don't have to use 4-wheel drive, but I would recommend it. Also - not for people who don't like heights, as some of the drop offs...More
It’s 4 miles, not 3 miles from the ranger station up Bill Williams trail to the summit!!

We hiked the Bill Williams Mountain Trail 21 to the overlook. It was about 8 miles round trip, with a 2200 foot elevation gain. We were fortunate to do the hike on a cool, clear day. It had rained two days before, but the trail...More
We had done some reading that helped us decide to make this drive. It was not what we expected and was really not worth the effort. It was hard to find the road leading to the trail from Williams. It had more than one name...More
