Very beautiful and scenic view on the train from Williams to the Grand Canyon . The hotel in Williams was a terrible experience. Cleaning crew entered room without permission before we checked out and were at breakfast, when front desk was notified the front desk clerk laughed, not sure what was so funny about the situation. Very unprofessional

The children were disappointed that it was not "like the movie" that they did not actually arrive at the North Pole & get off the train. They were so excited! And when we did get to the north pole the look on their faces were looks of satisfactions because the expected something more magical

We took the 2-night package and were very satisfied with the entire experience. The focus was our first visit to the Grand Canyon! All expectations were met. Weather was great, with blue skies and temps in the 70's. No crowds to deal with and freedom to move around without hassle. Needless to say, the Grand Canyon is SPECTACULAR. Our package... More

Had a lot of fun on the polar express. Would recommend going at night rather than during the day; the props at the north pole are a little cheesy looking and you wouldn't notice that at night. Be aware that the weekend evening events sell out quickly.

This was our very first visit to the polar Express and based on our experience probably our last. After driving for six hours, we arrived at the Grand Canyon Railway hotel and checked in. Check-in went smoothly. This was our first visit so we were excited. We went up to our rooms and the card key did not work to... More

Santa needs to be jolly and have the Christmas Spirit. If you try to get seats make sure you get C and D seating. Even though you pay just as much the A and B section isn't as nice of a view. Can't take pics without other peoples heads in the way. Santa was my worst disappointment. He didn't come... More

The grand Canyon train experience was one that me and my bride will never forget. Our car staff member, Konya Rae, was very energetic and informative. I've never met someone who enjoys their job like she does! I'd pay just to be around her alone. What impressed us is her genuine concern for her guests. She suggested a plae for... More

The train ride was more than transportation. You meet other travelers from all over the world. Your host fills you with knowledge about the surrounding region. You are entertained by cowboys. You laugh, view awesome sights and if you don't have a great time - it's your own fault. American made products seem to be a priority and appreciated.

We went in off season (early December), train was probably 1/2 full. 1940s cars are well maintained and cumfortable though certainly worn. Our attendant Starlie was very sweet and kept very busy filling drink orders from the full bar right in our first class car. The morning (outgoing) and afternoon (incoming) buffets were well presented and plentiful. Make sure to... More

Wonderful experience for the whole family! By arriving the night before, we were able to drive the one hour to the Grand Canyon too! Williams is a fun town as well!
