It was interesting to look inside the ranch house. Ranchers definitely had a hard life. We did not have time to hike, but there were a lot of people hiking.

There are lots of hiking trails, and loops off of hiking trails; there are level ones, wide ones that are wheelchair accessible; there are trails for motorbikes, for horseback riding, including ample parking room for trailers just inside the main gate. Birders will find ample...More

Brown Canyon Ranch is a perfect site for a family picnic and short walk, or for a day-long adventure in the mountains. You can park near the historic buildings and set off into the beautiful Huachucas, through Ramsey Canyon, into the Coronado National Forest.

This was our 2nd trip here, but this time we hiked in and out, just a pleasant place to relax, have a picnic, explore, not a bad hike to get here on Perimeter trail, lots of history here, for all us history buffs

As part of the history of the old west... Browns Canyon Ranch played a big part. This ranch has been preserved and is quite an interesting history lesson. The area around the ranch has hiking trails and picnic areas. And don't forget the beautiful views....More

The Old Ranch House is fun to see, it is totally authentic. In back of the ranch house there is a year round spring fed pond. It is not unusual to see lots of birds around the pond. There are picnic tables in the shade...More

I do not know what "white object" you see. There is a house, a pond, and a watertank at the parking area. You can have a picnic right there at the main site, or pack it along as you hike around the grasslands at the foot... More
