We liked Grayton Beach State Park but we wished we would have brought our bikes. The beach is a short drive or long walk from the campground. RV sites were nice but close together. The bathhouses are centrally located but you have to find your way through brush and trees along well-worn trails. I got lost twice during the night.... More

Very nice state park for tent, pop-up, trailer, and large RV's. Hiking trails everywhere. On Western Lake , and adjoining Gulf of Mexico. Pavilions on dunes for covered picnicking. Walking access to Gulf for fishing, swimming, walking, etc.

This is the 2nd time we camped here in our 5th wheel. The roads are blacktop, the sites are nice. Our drive through site was long enough for our unit, truck and motorcycle trailer. The park is very clean, with trails, and trams to beach if needed.

Wonderful State Park. Friendly volunteers who work hard to keep bathrooms clean and clean campsites to come into.

These cabins are really hard to get into, and we discovered a Thursday single night during Christmas break. We drove up from Fanning Springs, where we spent the previous night. We were happy to be offered an additional night due to a cancellation. The park is about 125 miles west of Tallahassee, on the gulf in Santa Rosa Beach. The... More

We were eager to explore this highly-rated park during our recent family vacation. An early morning nature hike was pleasant with the one-mile loop traversing through several types of ecosystems - dune, bog, forest, etc. Parts of the trail were blocked due to localized flooding - signage with instructions for the detour would be helpful.

Grayton Beach State Park is one of the most beautiful white sand beaches you'll ever see! There is a fee to enter, but there are public rest rooms/ changing rooms, drink machines, and bike paths. This is also one of the most isolated beaches around - you will feel like you are the only one around in the fall through... More

With many campsites backing up to Western Lake, one of the rare dune lakes, you can't beat camping at this state park. The beach is pristine, the sand white sugar, and on a sunny day the water is turquoise streaked with emerald. We park a 40-ft RV with tow in site 40. Do check if you have a big rig--one... More
