Overview
More
The Sedona Heritage Museum presents the history of the Sedona area, from post-Civil War days to the present. Located in Jordan Historical Park, the Museum is composed of 3 historic landmark buildings, a tent house replica, and a restored movie set building; exhibits of pioneer mementos, farm equipment, historic photos, and more can be found throughout the buildings and along the pathways of the park. Besides an encounter with history, it's a great place for a picnic lunch. And the beauty of Sedona's red rocks makes it a perfect location for a wedding ceremony.

Volunteers here were very knowledgeable about Sedona & the families that first settled here. This is a small 'compound' with a few buildings to visit.

Nice museum of the white history of the Sedona area. The museum is located in a former homestead of a founding family of the area after the advent of the native peoples. Not much seen on the history of the indigenous peoples.More

Thanks for mentioning this! The Sedona Heritage Museum is focused on the lifestyles and works of the people who pioneered this community, from 1876 to the present. We are often asked about Native American history & are happy to recommend the Museum of Northern Arizona...More

YELP in for $3 off one of your self-guided tours! And you want the story telling necklace! Really cool Museum! Nice place to investigate and spend time. Eye opening, educational, chock full of really neat knick knacks and trinkets. Super friendly staff. Worth stoping by!

This under-appreciated museum is a gem! Really good portrayal of early life in Sedona through several decades. Figure about 1.5 hours to learn loads in an interesting, authentic setting. They often have special events going on with crafts or story-telling. So worth a visit!
