Not too difficult a trail to do. About an hour and a half up to the top. Then you stay another hour walking around the mesa. The views are incredible. The first time I did this climb, I sat at the top and watched as...More

you didn't have to waste a ton of time getting to the real "hike", you gained elevation quickly and the 360 views around the top were incredible!

Trail is short but almost all uphill. Once at the top, you have plenty of space to walk around, have a picnic or just relax and enjoy the views.

The trail is quite rocky in spots and has switchbacks, but was not that difficult to navigate for 2 69 years olds in decent shape! We did not use walking sticks or poles and climbed in our sneakers.

This trail was surprisingly not crowded, so we were able to enjoy our time here without seeing more than four other humans. Like almost every other trail in the Sedona area, there are amazing views to behold during the climb and at the top. Note:...More

We heard from a local that this is the safest hike to mountain top. Indeed it was a fairly easy but vigorous climb to the top. Nice views on top. The main view is once at top crossing to the other valley. Expansive and beautiful.

The hike to the top was quite easy, even for older folks. I’d recommend sneakers and regular clothes bc it gets dusty. The view is incredible it gets better the higher you get!

We were looking for a shorter trail than our previous day's hike because we had somewhere to be in the afternoon. The trail offers some stunning views and can be done in 45-60 minutes. The top of the trail is flat and you can walk...More

Recommended to us by the hotel staff, Doe Mountain was a highlight of our day in Sedona. We are not experienced hikers but are reasonably fit middle-aged people. This hike involved uneven ground and a few scrambles over rocks, and the view from the top...More

Yes, there are trails everywhere, try to get a map of the area. The Sedona Chamber of Commerce is a great source or the US Forest Service!

Agree with Ron below about Bear Mountain. If you go to Boynton Canyon/Kachina Woman around 10 am you may catch Robert there playing the Native American flute from the top of the pillar. Magical! If the Earth could sing... More
