On our way to Grand Canyon we stayed to take pictures of this awe inspiring view. It was a clear day in the low 70's and perfect for hiking. We did not hike but will do it next time. A great place to take endless pictures of a breathtaking view.

Amazing views of the surrounding red rock cliffs. First two thirds of the climb is moderately difficult. Last third is very challenging. Perhaps the best short hike and climb in Sedona.

We were in Sedona two years ago and did not hike Cathedral Rock...and really regretted it. BUT, this time around we took advantage and hiked (or shall I say "rock climbed") up to the end of the trail...and even beyond a bit. We had hiking shoes and took adequate water. I'm guessing that it took our family of five around... More

I hiked to the end of the trail at Cathedral Rock. There are spectacular views all along the hike of the entire valley. It's not for everyone, there is some rock scrambling involved but overall not a super difficult hike. I've done some hiking but I'm not in tremendous physical shape and it was strenuous but definitely doable. The stops... More

Somewhat of a difficult hike for fairly fit people, but totally worth it! Climb all the way to the top to get the best views. There is a cool ledge you can stand on for a great photo op at the end of trail.

This hike is straight up. If you are afraid of heights you may not like it. If you aren't then you probably will love it. It's not really a hike it more of a climb.

Beautiful scenery! Great views throughout the entire hike! The only difficulty was finding a place to park as the spots are limited near the trailhead.

This short hike involves some rock scrambling but it suitable for almost everyone. It is a particularly good hike for families as children will love it. Parking can be a major issue so go early or late.

I enjoyed the energy center in the Sedona Red Rocks, -one of the seven wonders in the world energy vortexes- and, the strenuous climb on my way to find the vortex in Cathedral rock. I felt energized and light on my feet as I was making my climb over steep rocks and ravens. Mind you, that I was 'supposedly' fighting... More

We had an odd tour guide. She was called in at the last minute and not happy about it. Didactic and not very knowledgable, so while we were glad we went, we drew a short stick in this way.
