It is a nice view but no red rock. It is a small canyon and has some Native American sellers. So much more to do in Sedona.

If you travel Highway 89A in Oak Creek Canyon north to Flagstaff or are coming to Sedona from that direction, take 10-15 minutes to introduce yourself to the area and stop at the ultimate car-accessible viewpoint of Oak Creek Canyon. The Vista itself is a short side road on the eastern side of the highway at the top of the... More

This view is about a 20 minute drive north of Sedona toward Flagstaff. It is a narrow canyon with a few miles of switch back roads and a 3-4 thousand foot climb. The drive is worth it for the view. I must also add that equally if not more scenic in the Spearfish Canyon drive in the Black Hills of... More

We stopped here on our way from Sedona to the Grand Canyon. The drive up the mountain was a little scary and breathtaking at the same time. Because I was so focused on driving, I didn't realize how beautiful everything was. When we got to the top of the mountain we saw signs for the Oak Creek Vista Overlook so... More

If you take your time to drive carefully and allow yourself to take in some of the scenery along the way, it'll take about 45 minutes to get to the Overlook. We comment on the Indian Market in our review of Oak Creek Canyon, but as others have said in their reviews of this attraction, apart from the views from... More

This place isn't for everyone. First, you have to drive about an hour outside of Sedona on your way to Flagstaff to get here. Eventually, on this drive, you are fully in the mountains winding up, up and up until you reach this point. However, if that is the type of traveling you enjoy, the view and this stop is... More

The overlook is nice, but the draw here are the beautiful, handcrafted items offered by Native Americans for a good cause .Really, the designs are beautiful, and we thought the prices were very reasonable compared to the town shops. Most everything was in very good taste, so take the time to inspect their beautiful handwork.

The drive up is beautiful. The view here, including the winding road up is cool. The opportunity to check out some local Native American craft stalls is a bonus!
