Take your hiking boots & enjoy a leisurely hike along the water. During the warmer months, enjoy the water and slide rock. Picnic areas and lots of parking. Hardly anyone there in the winter, but very popular (crowded) in the summer.

This was a beautiful drive...grabbed some great pictures and such a nice drive right outside of Sedona. We plan on exploring this more in the future.

Less traversed path but worth it for a tiny detour - lovely hidden spot while driving on the way to grand canyon. You can easily hike up here spend 2 hours or so

Highway 89A is the highway that goes through Oak Creek Canyon. You will have plenty of time to get from the Grand Canyon to Sedona before sunset as long as you leave the Grand Canyon before 11 a.m or noon. Travel time is... More

November is a great time to visit the Sedona, Flagstaff, Grant Canyon South Rim area. Be prepared for freezing (literally) nights but nice days that range from mid-50's to 70. Sedona actually has a bit of a micro-climate... More

Unless construction completed I would avoid. Traffic was not the problem. Road was DIRT with huge ruts and holes. Glad we were in a rental car- I was worried about the axle
