Arizona Canal has great shopping and great eateries. They do an open market every Saturday. Very clean and up scale place to go in old town

I guess when your in the desert your not really looking for amazing walks along the water. You can ride bikes along the canal and walk/ run for quite a way. Its not anything to write home about. But its a water side walk in the desert

Hard to find. Difficult to park, and not a big deal once there. A few good restaurant, but other than that, I don't see the attraction. Sorry.

March 2017 I walked for an hour every morning at 6:30 while staying at the Scottsdale Inn. Summer time it would be brutal.

the city has really fixed up the section close to everything in downtown Scottsdale. walking is easy, riding your bike can be challenging due to walkers, constant turns, events congesting the sidewalks. the artwork incorporating the water is always fun.

Not many years ago this was bare open land along the canal separating Old Town from the Fashion Square on Camelback. Now it is fringed with housing, shops and restaurants and the canal once just a water flow is a feature.

The area, surrounded by restaurants, shopping and hotels is very pleasant, with many areas to sit in the shade. In the evening the water is covered with laser light show.

I wish I had one to ride. I only walked along the canal which is flat for the most part. It is a nice way to get around Scottsdale without going along with the cars. It is very clean, has unpaved areas for jogging and paved areas if you prefer paved. Nice view of the mountains around Scottsdale. Great place... More

I love trails and will choose a destination because it's walk-inducing. This is just lovely, of course we were there in February, and it would be really hot and sunny in July. (no shade) Beautifully designed, creative plantings and really well kept. Well used, lit at night, level so accessible. Can't wait to go back

The Arizona Canal system is great for walking, running, biking or blading...and is especially a wonderful path to walk your four legged friend! Very scenic with lots of little stops on the way if you feel like grabbing a bite to eat, something to drink or visiting one of the charming boutiques along the path. We visited the annual canal...
