Beautiful art and lots of it... but this is expensive high end stuff. Ironically, it’s close to the super cheesy tourist shops too. Nice stuff to look at — but not in our budget!

Was enamored with the old arts district of Scottsdale. Some beautiful stores with amazing pieces of art. Nice restaurants and shops as well.

First time in Scottsdale or Phoenix? Downtown Scottsdale, Fifth Avenue and the Arts District are a must see. Much of the flavor of the old west has been preserved, yet many of the shops are urban chic. Something for every budget can be found in...More

Even if you're not a fan of art you should take a stroll west of Scottsdale Blvd. and drop in in several galleries. The proprietors font seem to mind browsing. While the art seems to lean towards southwestern subjects you'll find much to admire.

We hit at the end of the day so many galleries were closed but some very nice shops and galleries and we wished we had time to spend more time here when they were all open.

Several lovely galleries close together offering a variety of choices for art lovers. There is a pleasant ambiance to the neighbourhood as you saunter through the Old Town and visit the galleries.

The art galleries are all over, but the expensive ones are closer to the museum of the West. That section has nicer decor, and into edgier or abstract stuff. I took photos of recognizable art.... bronze statues (of playful kids). Landscaping is more tasteful too.

It seems like there used to be more Fine Art galleries, which I enjoy more than the more "weird" art stuff. To each his own. Anyway, always a nice place to visit when I am in town.

There is an art walk along Main on Thursday nights (not so in the hotter summer months). Most of the galleries are open there, in addition to restaurants and bars.
