Shopping and lunching

Old Town Scottsdale seems to a pure tourist trap. Not the very worst of it's kind, though. Lots of shops that sell Indian artwork and such.

You have the touristy area which I avoid and the better art/fine dining area. In the evening you see golf carts taking people from restaurants and bars to hotels or other locations. Smart idea. Great places to eat in this part of Scottsdale.

Love Old Town Scottsdale! Always make at least one trip when in AZ and we go to AZ a lot! There very spring for baseball. There is a wonderful baseball novelty store at the back of Old Town. Lots of funky touristy shops and chekc the calendar and happenings for Scottsdale. Always an art show and gallery walks going on.... More

Neat western area but many stores had same things. Told the sugar bowl restaurant in area was good although didn't try it . Enjoyed the sprinkles cupcakes.

We arrived at closing time for most week day shops and on a day where the temp was well above 110. These conditions alone are not for the faint of heart. That being said the stores that were still open we fun to poke in and everyone was hospitable. A fun and funky experience without being too touristy. Plenty of... More

Old Town Scottsdale is a very pretty area with wonderful shopping. Everything from trinkets to clothes to artwork. Love all the Mexican garden stuff we were able to bring home with us.

I stay at a hotel a mile away. I enjoy starting my day by walking to the Starbucks on Indian School Rd and then walking thru the maze of Old Town shops. I mean, everything from high end art to yoga, to stationery to foodies paradise. One of my fav cities (yes, even in summer) enjoy!

We enjoyed 90 minutes here - the paintings of the Lewis & Clarke expedition were stunning. Also the informative welcome and short film was worth seeing.
