We phoned in advance, no one answered the phone. We checked the website in advance, there was no information about reduced hours. We arrived at 10am on December 24, to find the museum closed. No sign on the door about reduced hours around xmas, just closed. The museum is near many other Indian admin buildings. We found a staff person... More

A small but very interesting mix of artifacts and photographs plus videos, and quotes gathered from those who are descendants. Outside exhibits of a typical Round House , and a Brush Kitchen. The tour guide was exceptional. He is descended form those the museum is about.

Had friends visiting from East coast and we decided to go see this museum. It is a small museum with a large amount of history and emotion. The two tour guides were excellent and each gave us a very unique cultural tour. They shared personal stories of their family history growing up on this Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
