Great staff, and wonderful guides for the observatory trips. Very knowledgeable about the area. There are areas you can hike, and learn about the native wildlife as well.

Worth visiting if you are passing through Safford. Didn't quite meet our expectations gained from the website. Times different from these on website...now closes at 4pm.

This is a great place for a little stargazing on a weekend night. You are able to look through the big telescope into the night sky with a staff member assisting you with what you are looking at. There is a small library research area.

When we visited the train was not running, the buildings were open for a private group and there was not really much going on. Just got to walk around the grounds
