Nice place to camp or RV

Nice cabins, nothing fancy, right on lake front (really a pond) with reasonable prices. Has cabins, can use tents, RV dry camping or services provided.

Went to the lake for a business trip and I will be going back for leisure time next time...There are cabins near the lake front that seem to be a great place to stay... There are Rv spaces to stay at. A hot tub and showers along with several bathroom services.

Simply stated, this is a wonderful stop. It is everything you want is a peaceful environment. We stayed here for 14 days in Bass Cabin (it is perhaps the best location along with the other two cabins on the water front). All cabins are nice. The camping sites are nice sized too. Showers are hot, clean, and roomy. Trails are... More

Not much to work with but that didn't stop some very hard working folks from creating a cute little recreation area out of a bunch of rock and a bit of water. This artificial lake has been created in a desert and now supports fish, ducks, tourists, locals, and cute little quail. A mix of cabins, unserviced, and serviced camping... More

I wish we could just write reviews, sans stars. Is this place Saguaro National Park, to which I also gave 5 stars? No. This is a place for those seeking some peace and quiet, and who know how to entertain themselves. But here's what it is: about 6 miles south of Safford, a very nice little campground (even rustic cabins),... More

Lovely spot for easy birding in January. Lots of parking. Admission fee to enter. Restrooms and camping options. Looks like swimming is possible in the summer!

Scenic sites plus boating/swimming/fishing in the lake. Excellent birding, hiking trail & hot tub. Play games on the island or grill. Be advised though - swarms of mosquitoes may keep you confined!

My husband got a pop up trailer that he wanted to try out camping with our dogs, a chuweeni and a lab mixed with pit bull. The dogs love people but not use to other dogs. I am a city girl who is addicted to my iPad. We reserved the last spot in the Hacienda site at Roper State Park.... More

We stayed at Roper one night in our trailer with our dog on our way from Mesa AZ to San Antonio TX. Our site in the Cottonwood Campground was a back-in site with electrical and water hookups; and provided a bit more buffer and privacy than many of the other sites. Most sites do not have a view of the... More

My son and I decided to get out of the city for a night. So worth it. The Elk cabin had 2 full size beds and a set of bunk beds. It was clean and well equipped. Plenty of space. Stars in the sky. Bathroom/Showers was just a short walk across a small bridge. We will be back!
