This hidden gem is between Prescott and Prescott Valley. A nice smaller lake in the woods with fishing, canoeing and hiking trails. Campsites are also available. Fun day trip.

On a hot summer day - what a pleasant place to come and walk around this beautiful lake! The lake was a short two mile trip from our hotel (Forest Villas) and proved to be a perfect place to spend some time in such a...More

We loved to do the hike around the lake. Easy hike for a 55+. A very nice area. Nice day areas as well as overnight camping. Oh and fishing!

What a lovely lake. Very intimate. Perfect for a family picnic or a romantic randez-vous. The trail around the lake is almost flat all around (dirt on one side and asphalt on the other side). I believe on the asphalt side you can get from...More

We first tried hiking at Highland but some of the trails are closed for renovation and the gift shop closed on Monday. Very sad about that and other folks also pulled in looking for the shop. So we headed to the Lynx Lake National Forest...More

Stopped by and took a stroll around the lake. Check on trail guide online (trail #311) before walking around, distance is deceptive because of various fingers the lake winds around.

I'm new here in AZ , and planning to cost Prescott but I have a small baby , 7 months with stroller , So, is it suitable for me ? Is there a path for stroller ? Can we rent a canoe ? Is it allow to take my baby with me in the canoe ? Is there any point to buy a food or we have to bring it with us ? Thanks

There are lots of trails for the stroller. Bring your food with you. There are no rentals. This area is very wooded, but beautiful if you like nature. I would bring lots of water and sunscreen. There are picnic areas.
