Though this museum is a few miles from the center of town, it is well worth the trip. You will find beautiful western art, including oils, watercolor and bronzes. The gift shop has a great selection of books, and hand crafted items. This is world class art.

Take the time to find this Museum/art gallery. Most everything for sale. Special collection of the Solon Borglum sculptures(Brother of Borglum who did Mount Rushmore) that you can see only here. Wonderful building, bring a picnic and a bottle of wine for outside tables.

Prescott should be very proud of this museum. Very beautiful artwork nicely displayed and very well organized. Certainly glad we didn't miss this hidden gem. Located just 10 min. north of downtown on hwy 89 in gorgeous area of amazing rock scenery.

Located about six miles north of Prescott, AZ on a scenic stretch of Hwy 89 that takes you through the Granite Dells, the Phippen Museum is well worth a stop if you enjoy western art and learning about cowboys and ranch life. Most of the exhibits in the nearly 17,000 sq. ft. museum are on the main level but there... More

The Phippen had a wonderful array of southwestern art. The paintings and sculptures were great. It was interesting and comfortable. We really enjoyed our visit. There was a special exhibit for National Parks 100th anniversary which had some really amazing photographs.

The museum is located on 89, just north of Prescott. The fee to get in is nominal. We spent about 3 hours there today. There is art of many types and using many media. The focus of the art here is "Western" themed. So lots of painting, sculptures, artifacts etc. that are Western related and of Western life. It was... More

This is a great little museum highlighting artwork that captures the spirit of the West: cowboy and Native American culture, wildlife and more! It's a smaller museum, so a visit can take an hour if time is short. Of course, you can linger as long as you like, too!!

This museum has incredible fine contemporary western art (landscapes with horses, cows, atmosphere and mountains) on canvas and sculpture. It is a fine place to spend an afternoon with art and history of the American West. The museum hosts various Art Shows through the year. Admission is reasonable and there is a gift shop with pieces from local artists. Don't... More

For a look a local color, and a feel of the "old west". You can't beat this place! The artwork is truly amazing.
