Such a great hike. Did the whole lake trail, lots of nooks and crannies to escape any crowds you may encounter. Even saw multiple bald eagles. Just wear good shoes, rock scrambling at times. Not too difficult, just great exercise. Beautiful!

Our favorite nearby place to get out and stretch our legs in nature. Lots of beautiful scenery, parking is easy (Wednesdays are free), and all the facilities are clean and well-maintained. Bring water and wear good shoes; the walking surfaces are definitely uneven. Oh, and...More

Came here with my wife and took a ton of pictures as we walked around the lake. I recommend wearing comfortable shoes and bring a good camera. Lots of waterfowl, eagles and nature trails.

This artificial lake with granite rock formations is one of the most beautiful places I have seen. Great for taking pictures and easy rock climbing.

Took a trip to Prescott, this past Saturday, and I really hate to go up there, without stopping at Watson Lake. The lake is as low as I’ve seen it, in a long time, but it’s still a great place, to bring your camera’s. There...More

A very peaceful place to hike or kayak and enjoy the scenery. Two different paved access to the lake. Circle trail around the lake. There is free parking on the SW of lake on Hwy 89.

Delightful park with walking trails with many vistas within the park of the lake, rock formations, and abundance of wildlife. For those more adventuresome, the trails offer various levels of rock climbing, too, with longer distance views of nearby mountains, and on clear days, to...More

A good place to hike. A very short drive from Prescott center. Careful on those rocks. Consider renting a kayak. I would have loved to explore the lake's nooks and crannies.

Super quiet and peaceful place on Christmas morning. We enjoyed the hiking and beautiful scenery in the park. $3 fee. Highly recommend this city park.

Yes, you can bring chairs to hang around the lake on and there are plenty of rocks to sun on.

There is no swimming and motorized boats are not allowed. It is a beautiful lake, but there is radon in the area. I suggest you don't spend much time there. I love Watson Lake and the Dells and have taken many friends there... More
