This place was definitely hard to find. We were on the other side of the street and didn't even realize we were right next to it. Once we got inside we marveled at the art and bought a few things in the gift shop. Definitely worth a stop if you are strolling in the area and want to see some... More

I happened upon this museum while I was mailing something at the UPS store across the street from a very packed Comic-con. Like an oasis in the desert, this space was peaceful, colorful, and interesting. You can go through all the exhibits very quickly and spend an equal amount of time in the gift shop. There were some really nice... More

Firt of all, it is small so you can visit it between lectures or workshops. The cultural center has a few paintings that are worth to see, however for me, the best part was going into the gift shop, that one for me was a little more interesting because of the type of products they sell. The little shop has... More

While staying in Phoenix I happened upon the Arizona Latino Arts & Cultural Center, directly across from the Hyatt Hotel and the Phoenix Convention Center. I couldn't help but notice it as there are two life sized wood figures just outside their door! It contains a shop "La Tiendita Gift Shop" where you can purchase very reasonably priced art objects... This is a must! Showcasing the vibrant and colourful art of Latin American artists I would highly recommend this arts centre. Stroll along contemporary and traditional artists' displays of art. We had a lovely chat with the art curator who took his time to explain the conditions of artists, the thoughtfulness in details was impressive. Do go and make the... More

This is a nice little gallery in an unlikely place - a storefront. There's a gift shop with authentic artisan items for sale, including vintage photos of Latino greats. The museum accepts donations.

This museum is a bit hard to find, but when you do ... you see it is quite a find! You enter through the gift shop, then go into the museum itself. It gives you an interesting view of the Chicano/Latino culture. Not very large or fancy or in depth, but there's an exhibit about El Dia De Los Muertos,... More
