You might miss iit-the little dam and waterfall!
Jun 2018 • Couples
Arcadia park is a place you can't miss. It is green and beautiful, just off the road on the south side. What you might miss is Arcadia Falls on the north side just past 56th st on Indian School Road is Arcadia Falls. Since before the turn of the century, this has been a place for people to visit kids and all. It is a little dam that SRP restored some years back, It has a little waterfall that comes from the canal and flows back into it. It has an upper level and a lover level. On the hottest day of the year, if you want to sit down below by the water falling, it will be comfortable. On a cold day it can be nippy. I like to just go be by it, whether it is above or below. This is not fancy but just fun for me. Up above, there are rocks from all the dams that Salt River Project has in the state. I guess the attraction for me is just the water and just a feeling you would not expect to find in the middle of a desert city. By the way the seating is all concrete. Take a little pillow if you want the seating to be more comfy. You have to walk a bit to get to it. I think it is worth it. Just a casual laid back place.
