Scattered throughout Sky Harbor airport are various art groupings in multiple media . Up at most 6 months, they rotate with selections from the permanent collection Some tax money is set aside to maintain and grow the collection - an excellent use of tax revenue

Terminal 4 at Sky Harbor has an art exhibit spread out in about eight different locations. The art was very good -- including oils, pastels, watercolors, mixed media, and sculptures. I enjoyed it enough to search out every location and take the artist brochures. A pleasant treat.

Our flight was delayed, again, so we had some time to kill, (actually a lot of time to kill), so we walked around the airport, figuring we would be sitting for 5 hours later that day, or so we hoped. We found this beautiful museum. I was surprised at the local culture on display. It made us want to start visiting some of the museums in Phoenix on our next trips out here.

If you have some time it is worthwhile tracking down the various locations for in the airport. They actually have a fairly varied collection, most of it on walls but also in a small gallery. I liked the textiles the most although the lithographs were also nice.
