Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

These falls are so easy to see you would be mad to just drive past them. It is literally a 5 minute stop to see the very tall falls from a distance. Good photo stop and easy to find while driving across the island.

We stopped here and the waterfall is definitely beautiful, but we were told you couldn’t get too close.
The area where we stopped to look at it had a lot of rubbish there.

Very grown over and can barely see the falls which are a long way away. Worth stopping if you are not in a hurry only.

Visited 11th of August. Was travelling to the south side of the island when i saw the sign, pulled into the car park and went to the “look out”, then nothing.. the overgrown trees and bushes blocked the view. I think some people may have climbed through the bushes to find a spot but i didn’t have the correct footwear to attempt it so i drove away. But, on the way back the next day i did catch a glimpse of the waterfalls beauty as i drove up the hill just a few meters past the sign. So maybe if you’re willing to fight through the bush, the trees get cut, or you can find a place to safely pull over on the side of the road then i would recommend

Located about 30 mins drive from central Apia on the cross island rd. Well worth a stop on the way across the island.

Travelling from Apia towards the island's south coast a classical stop is at the viewpoint for the about 100m high waterlall of Papapapaitai, surrounded by thick vegetation. Its name is almost more exciting than the falls itself.

Easy stop for waterfall lovers on the cross island road. Distant view of the falls and no trash in the dirt pullout, just a friendly dog.

Hi guys just wondering is it a nice walk to see the Falls? Or do you just kind of park there walk for 5 minutes and then look at it?

Interestingly, there are two waterfalls on the cross Island roads. This one is drive up and view or you can walk to the top of the falls if you have someone who can show you. If you are a total adventurer nutto you can attempt the climb down, As its almost vertical you wont take long but you have to be sure you can get back out. (Yes I have done it, only once!) Other option is to walk down the stream to the sea.
The other, almost identical waterfall is on the other cross island road towards Lalomanu. Again a short walk.
